Night time

After sunset we can’t distinguish the colour of trees, their leaves and blossom, their fruit. Just dark shapes are visible, barely letting us know what type of trees we’re looking at. Only daylight, after the long night, will allow us to see things more clearly. In the meantime, we see no more than that.

For young people, the future is not at all clear. It’s a dark place, full of uncertainties involving health risks, a lack of opportunities, the fear of loneliness, and thousands more question marks hanging over their life. We can’t see any more than that. But we can invest in a good education and, over all else, in acquiring good values while all is still dark. It may take a while for daylight to appear, but it will come eventually.
