Presents

A present is something good we get given for free. Whatever it may have cost, it’s free for whoever receives it. It makes them smile. To be given something nice and for free brightens our day, whether it’s our birthday or any other occasion. It’s good both for the recipient and for the giver who, because of what it cost, is expressing love and affection. The one receiving it just needs to accept it and say thank you. The only payment is the tiny effort of valuing, enjoying and taking care of the gift.

We want our Emmanuel Children’s Home to continue to be a wonderful present for each child here, and for their families. We want the RIE to be a treasure, an excellent resource to help make their complicated lives a little easier, by offering the children a home, shelter, food, a bed, upbringing, living in community, values, affection, order… Because their lives are great gifts too, ones we want to look after carefully.

We want to encourage you our supporters, and organisations and companies, to join with us in the RIE’s projects for the future. And also encourage you to bring others on board. Our aim is to maintain and improve the service we provide in the coming years: a new Foundation, a new Home, a project offering value-for-money. Thank you for your commitment. Working together we can offer a freely given but tremendously important gift to each child that we look after and to their families. You too can be part of this gift. Thank you!
