PICTURE OF THE MONTH
APRIL 2017
.
Who's watching who?
We’re always watching to see how our children and teenagers are growing. We watch over their educational progress during the school year. And we watch how they behave, their habits, their relationships… We have specialised techniques and training to keep a watch on how they are growing up. We have recognised materials and resources to keep a careful watch over them so as to help them.
But often we forget that in actual fact they are the ones watching us. They are the ones that will take on board the example of us adults, whether it’s good or bad. They are the ones watching and copying our gestures, our words, even our attitudes and states of mind. They will always be watching and noticing whether we are spending sufficient time with them to make them feel respected and loved. Be careful when you look into a fish tank: the fish, with those attentive staring eyes, will be watching you back.
