| Each month we receive various visits from friends and neighbours who want come to see our house and the children or to help out in some way with the children's home. One of our visitors this month has been Albert, who offered to share some of his experiences in life with our children and teenagers. It was a good time and we learned a lot. |

Albert
explained to us how he had a difficult time as a child, because
of family problems. Then as a young person he made the mistake of turning
his back on his Christian friendships and trying to get help and enjoyment
through alchohol and drugs. This poison led to serious health problems
and eventually even to his life being in danger. But his family helped
him to recover hope and stability in the faith which he had known
since childhood. One day, a friend surprised him by saying that those dark and destructive years were not necessarily a wasted time in his life. They could be very valuable if he used them now to share his testimony and warn other young people of the cruel delusion that alcohol and drugs represent. We are very grateful to Albert for coming to explain this to us this month. After sharing his experiences and having his photo taken with the youngest ones, Albert said to us "I'm really pleased to have come because, as well as being able to help out, I have been very encouraged to see how happy these children are." We all send him, his wife and his little girl our very best wishes. |
